Amador CASA

Amador Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA,
recruits, trains, and supervises community volunteers
to advocate for children in our community,
who have been abused or neglected.

Our volunteers are appointed by the juvenile court judge
to offer support and comfort to these children,
to gather information about the children's wishes and needs,
and to advocate for what is in the children's best interests.

Our volunteers are appointed to only one or two children at a time,
which gives them a unique opportunity to explore the children's needs
and to develop supportive and consistent relationships.

Amador CASA provides training for new CASA volunteers twice each year.
CASA volunteers are required to complete 30 hours of pre-service training.
Our volunteers also attend in-service training
and receive direct supervision and support from program staff.

Amador CASA is a proud member of both the National and California CASA Associations.

If you would like to learn more and think this is the right work for you, please call today!
With just a few hours a week, you can make a positive impact on a child's life.
