GRAND JURY JURISDICTION AND AUTHORITY FOR REVIEW

The Grand Jury is sworn to investigate and inquire into County matters of civil concern. The specific duties and jurisdiction of the Civil Grand Jury are set forth in the California Penal Codes and Government Codes (see Appendix.) Each of our reports states the code section which gives the Grand Jury the authority to investigate and report on the matter in question.
