The Honorable Susan C. Harlan,Presiding Judge, Amador Superior CourtJudge Harlan graduated cum laude from the University of
the Pacific in 1974; obtained her Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Law School
in 1979; and completed her Master's Degree in Business and Taxation from
McGeorge School of Law in 1986. Prior to her appointment as Judge, Susan
C. Harlan was in private practice with offices in Sutter Creek and Sacramento.
She was appointed by Governor Wilson in 1991; elected in 1992; and is
currently serving her third term of office which began in Jan 1, 2005. |

The Honorable David S. Richmond,Judge, Amador Superior CourtJudge Richmond was born on October 16, 1944, in Las Vegas,
Nevada and has lived in Amador County since 1976. He served in the U.S.
Army Infantry from 1967-1968 and graduated from California State University,
Sacramento in 1970. Earned a law degree from McGeorge School of Law
in 1975. Worked at Preston School of Industry prior to his being appointed
Judge. Served as Deputy District Attorney for Amador County from 1976-1982;
as Amador County District Attorney from 1983-1991; as Deputy District
Attorney in Sacramento County from 1991-1995; and was the Chief Assistant
District Attorney in El Dorado County from 1995-1998. Appointed to the
Court by Governor Wilson in January, 1998; elected in 2002; and was
re-elected to office in Nov. 2006 for his 2nd full term commencing Jan.
1, 2007. |

The Honorable Hugh K. Swift,Commissioner, Amador Superior CourtCommissioner Swift graduated from the University of San Diego in 1981, California Western School of Law in 1985, and was admitted to the California Bar in 1985. He was in private practice in San Diego until he began working for the court in 1999 as a research attorney and was appointed CEO in November 2004. Commissioner Swift was appointed a part-time commissioner April of 2006. |
