REASON FOR REVIEW
Penal Code Section 925a authorizes the Grand Jury to conduct inquiries into the operation and management of law enforcement agencies within the County.
BACKGROUND
The City of Sutter Creek is an incorporated city. The Sutter Creek Police Department is operating within the guidelines set forth by the Police Officer's Standards of Training.
METHODOLOGY
A site visit was conducted by the Grand Jury and the Police Chief was interviewed. In addition, the commission of Peace Officer's Standards of Training profile for each officer was reviewed.
FACTS
The only grants received by the Sutter Creek Police Department are county-wide grants which are controlled and implemented by the Amador County Sheriff.
CONCLUSIONS
Because no grants are implemented or controlled by the Sutter Creek Police Department, no further investigation is warranted.
