Dear Prospective Juror:
It has come to our attention that identity thieves have a scam
in which the scammer calls persons claiming to work for the local trial
court.
The scammer then states that the person has failed to report for jury
duty and
that a warrant for their arrest will be issued. The scammer will then
seek to
solicit personal identifying information, i.e., social security number,
date of birth,
credit card information, etc.
Please be advised that, while court personnel may occasionally call
prospective jurors at home, we will never ask for social security numbers
or any other personal identifying information other than your name.
